What we help with

Common injuries by sport

Sports-injury chiropractic focuses on the spine, joints, and muscles: controlling pain, restoring movement, and returning to activity step by step. After examining you (and with digital X-rays if indicated), the doctor builds a plan for your injury and your sport.

Soccer

Soccer mixes sprinting, cutting, and contact. We often see groin and hamstring strains, ankle and knee sprains, low back pain, and neck or back soreness after a fall or collision. Care focuses on getting your movement back and preparing you to return to play with less risk of re-injury.

Boxing

Boxers come in with wrist and hand pain, shoulder pain, and neck and upper-back pain from repetitive work and impact. We also treat mid-back and rib discomfort. Spine and shoulder mechanics are checked as part of the plan.

Mixed martial arts (MMA)

MMA adds striking, takedowns, and ground work. Neck and back pain, shoulder and knee discomfort, and post-training stiffness are all common. The goal is to manage pain, restore range of motion, and keep training when it's safe to do so.

Football

The repeated contact in football produces neck and back pain, shoulder discomfort, and knee and ankle injuries. After a hard hit, some symptoms show up the next day, so it's worth getting checked even if you feel fine.

How we help

The care plan

  • Chiropractic adjustments and muscle work for the affected area
  • In-office technology, such as shockwave, emFieldPro, or laser, when the doctor judges it appropriate
  • Exercises and guidance for a step-by-step return to training
  • Digital X-rays when they help guide the plan

Caring for today's injury and tomorrow's

Many sports injuries get better and then come back if the underlying cause isn't addressed. Part of the plan is reducing re-injury risk and keeping your back and joints in good shape through the season.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

Do I need a referral from my coach or doctor?

Usually not to begin a chiropractic evaluation. Bring any imaging you already have.

Can I keep training while I'm in care?

It depends on the injury. The doctor will tell you what activity is safe and what to modify for now.

What if my injury is from an accident, not sports?

If it was a car accident, see our auto accident page: those cases are documented differently.

Hurt training or competing?
