What it is

What digital X-ray is

An X-ray shows the bones and the alignment of the spine. In our office the images are digital, so the doctor can review them on screen the same day.

Not everyone needs X-rays. The doctor orders them when the information will change your plan, for example, after an accident, with certain symptoms, or to rule something out before starting adjustments.

What it may be used for

When it's used

  • After a car accident or a fall
  • Pain that isn't improving as expected
  • Before certain types of adjustment, when the doctor wants to confirm something
  • To document injuries in an accident case

After examining you, your provider decides whether this technology is appropriate as part of your plan. It isn't right for every person or every condition.

What a session is like

What it's like

You're asked to stand or lie down depending on the area. Taking the image takes a few seconds.

The doctor reviews the images with you and explains what he sees in plain language.

Other care options

Part of a complete plan

X-ray is a tool within your care, not a treatment. It helps the doctor decide the plan for:

Auto accidents   Back pain   Neck pain

Frequently asked questions

Common questions

Does everyone need X-rays?

No. The doctor orders them only when they'll change your care.

Can I bring X-rays from somewhere else?

Yes. If you already have images from a hospital or another clinic, bring them to your first visit.

Do X-rays give a complete diagnosis?

They're one part of the picture. The doctor combines them with your history and the exam.
